The helicopter was flying in a straight line and at a constant altitude until loss of pitch control. It hit the ground at a steep angle and with high energy. There were no faults with the rotating assemblies or flight controls that could explain the accident. The helicopter was within the weight and balance envelope for the intended flight. No technical observations of the wreckage could explain the accident.

The investigation was unable to identify the reasons for this loss of control.
